intuner Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 June 2026

intuner is built to be private. The app uses your microphone for one purpose only — to detect the pitch of the sound it hears so it can tune your instrument. That audio is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.

The short version

  • The microphone is used only to detect pitch for tuning.
  • Audio is processed on-device — never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
  • No personal information is collected, shared, or sold.
  • No account or login is required to use the app.

Microphone

intuner requests microphone access so it can analyse incoming sound and determine its pitch in real time. The audio stream is used live for tuning and is discarded — it is not written to disk, uploaded, or shared with any third party.

Personal information

intuner does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, or any other personal details. No personal information is collected or shared.

Analytics & tracking

The app does not include third-party advertising or tracking. If you opt in through your device settings, Apple may share anonymised crash and usage diagnostics to help improve the app; this is not tied to your identity and can be turned off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Purchases

Any in-app purchase (such as the Pro upgrade) is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

Children's privacy

intuner is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
